Negotiators in this simulation attempt to address a range of issues affecting the availability, access, and utilization of food around the world. Participants will work together to develop a series of short- and long-term proposals for attaining greater food security.
This flexible simulation is designed to accommodate a wide range of class sizes. Instructors can choose which roles to include in their specific simulation exercise from a list of up to 30 available options. Students can represent a variety of governments, agri-businesses, international organizations, and NGOs.
A detailed scenario is provided along with online Research Library resources to aid students in researching their assigned role's positions. This simulation includes an opportunity for students to develop, debate, and vote on specific proposal plans to address the issues in the scenario.
