Description

This simulation focuses on military security, human security, and economic issues affecting the international community. Student teams portray various nations and negotiate online to develop solutions to important global problems.

The simulation provides an overview of the policy interactions among nations in the international system and a chance for students to put their diplomatic negotiation skills into action. Issue areas include: border security, arms control and nonproliferation, environment and natural resources, trade and development, public health, and humanitarian emergencies.

Instructors will be able to select the specific countries their students will portray. A detailed scenario is provided along with online Research Library resources to aid students in researching their assigned country's positions. This simulation includes an opportunity for students to develop, debate, and vote on specific proposal plans to address the issues in the scenario.
