Single-Class Simulation Pricing
Student Pay Option:
Under this option, individual students pay a fee (similar to a lab fee or supplemental text fee) on line by credit card in order to participate in an ICONS simulation scheduled by their instructor.
Fee: $12 per student
Instructor Pay Option:
Under this option, the instructor pays a fee for an entire class' participation in a simulation. Instructors may pay on line by credit card or elect to receive an invoice by mail.
Fee: $200 for up to 25 students; $12 for each additional student.
 How to register...
- Browse the university-level single-class simulation listing to find a simulation topic that fits with your course's needs.
- Register on line (right-hand side of the screen) to use the ICONS simulation with your course. During registration you will be asked to indicate an estimated start date for your simulation. The simulation will be available on line for a 30-day period from your estimated start date (time extensions available by request). You will also choose a payment option during registration: student pay or instructor pay.
- Access the simulation and Faculty Area with the instructor access information emailed to you when ICONS staff create your on-line simulation. The Faculty Area of the ICONS website contains a variety of instructional resources relevant to your simulation.
- Distribute important simulation access instructions to your students. If you chose the instructor pay option, you will receive e-mail instructions for how students can create individual passwords to enter the simulation. If you chose the student pay option, you will receive e-mail instructions explaining how to direct students to the on-line payment center in order to purchase their individual access information.
Distributed Simulation Pricing
Student Pay Option:
Under this option, individual students pay a fee (similar to a lab fee or supplemental text fee) online by credit card in order to participate as a member of their class’ assigned team in a distributed simulation.
Fee: $18 per student
Instructor Pay Option:
Under this option, the instructor pays a fee for an entire team’s participation in a simulation. Instructors may pay online by credit card or elect to receive an invoice by mail.
Fee: $350 for a team of up to 25 students; $18 for each additional student in the team.
How to register...
- Browse the university-level distributed simulation listing to see the schedule for upcoming distributed simulations.
- Register on line (right-hand side of the screen) to request a team(s) for an upcoming simulation. During registration you will be able to indicate country preferences for your team(s). ICONS cannot guarantee the availability of a country, however ICONS staff will do their best to assign your team to represent a country from within your preferred list. You will also choose a payment option during registration: student pay or instructor pay.
- Access the Faculty Area with the instructor access information e-mailed to you after registration. The Faculty Area of the ICONS website contains a variety of instructional resources relevant to your simulation.
- Distribute important simulation access instructions to your students. Approximately 6 weeks before the start of the distributed simulation, ICONS staff will send you an e-mail message with your country assignment(s) and instructions for how students can create individual passwords to enter the simulation. If you chose the student pay option during registration, you will receive e-mail instructions explaining how to direct students to the on-line payment center in order to purchase their individual access information.
