Dr. Brigid Starkey is a research and training consultant to the International Communication and Negotiation Simulations (ICONS) Project at the University of Maryland, College Park. She has taught courses in international relations and comparative politics. She publishes in the areas of negotiation and interactive learning for the college classroom. Dr. Starkey’s articles have appeared in Simulation and Gaming, International Studies Notes, and the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs.

Dr. Mark A. Boyer is a professor of political science at the University of Connecticut and codirector of the GlobalEd Project. He was Pew Faculty Fellow in International Affairs and an SSRC-MacArthur Fellow in International Peace and Security. Dr. Boyer is the author of International Cooperation and Public Goods (1993), coauthor (with Davis B. Bobrow) of Defensive Internationalism (2004), and coauthor (with John Rourke) of World Politics, 6th ed. (2005), among others. He has published articles in such journals as the Journal of Conflict Resolution, Review of International Political Economy, International Journal, Social Science Computer Review, Defence Economics, and Diplomacy and Statecraft.

Dr. Jonathan Wilkenfeld is a professor in the Department of Government and Politics and director of the Center for International Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland. He is also the founder of the International Communication and Negotiation Simulations (ICONS) Project. Dr. Wilkenfeld has published widely in the area of foreign policy analysis, international crisis, negotiation, and simulation. His most recent book, A Study of Crisis, was coauthored with Michael Brecher (2000).
