ICONSnet users have access to certain administrative features. Click on the Administrative button to access these features:

Change Password

Click in the appropriate boxes to enter your current password, your new password, and a verification of your new password. After you have filled in the three boxes, click the Change Password box to activate the change. If successful, you will receive a notice that your password has been successfully changed. If, however, the new password and the verification you entered are different, you will be notified that the change was unsuccessful, and you will then have to start over.

You and your team should decide on a password as a group and make sure that everyone in the group knows what the new password will be. Do not change the password without consulting as a group.

Change Copy Self Settings

When you send a message, you will not receive it in your list of new messages unless you send a copy of the message to yourself.  You can either choose to do this for each individual message, or you can set your user profile so that this is done automatically.  If you select "Turn Copy Self Option On", all messages that you send will be put in your new message queue.  Your choice will stay in effect until you, or someone on your team, changes the setting.  (See Sending Messages for more information.)

Change Auto Archive Settings

When you read new messages, you must decide whether you want to keep that message in your new message queue or whether you want to send the message to the archives.   Whether the highlighted option is "Keep Message New" or "Archive Message" depends on the choice you make in your user profile.  If you would like your messages to stay new, unless you specify otherwise, set "Keep Message New" as the default.  (Keep in mind that you should keep messages new only if you have a specific purpose for doing so.  The archives is designed to help you find messages quickly and easily.)  If you would like for your messages to be archived, again unless you specify otherwise, select "Archive Message" as the default.   Your choice will stay in effect until you, or someone on your team, changes the setting.   (See Reading Messages for more information.)

Delete Message

You may delete a message that you have sent BEFORE any other user has read the message. To delete a message, click in the Delete a Message box, type in the message number, and click the Delete Message button. If no one else has read the message yet, then you will receive notice that the message has been successfully deleted. If someone has already read the message, you will get a message indicating that the message cannot be deleted. (Only Simcon or a user with system administrative capabilities can delete any message.)
