Looking for Archived MessagesOnce a message has been marked as read by a user, it is added to the general simulation archives. To search for messages in the general archives, select the Search Archives button. You may now either go to your list of favorite messages by clicking Read Favorite Messages (which are organized according to issue) or search all archived messages for those meeting your criteria. Search CriteriaTo search all archived messages, enter the appropriate search criteria. The more information that you enter, the more narrow the search. If you leave all criteria blank, you will get back all messages that you have read or sent. If you know the number of the message that you are looking for, just enter that number in the appropriate box and leave the rest of the boxes blank. Note that if both dates for the date range are identical, the software will return all messages matching search criteria, regardless of date. Once you have entered your search criteria, you can either retrieve the messages or retrieve a directory of messages (a list with message details only). (If you retrieve the messages themselves, they will be returned to you 10 at a time. At the end of every screen of messages, you will have the option to get the next 10 or to end the search.) At the end of the listing of archived messages, you will also be given the opportunity to add an archived message to your favorite message list. To do this, enter the message number and click Archive as Favorite . Searching Conference ArchivesOnce a conference has ended, all conference messages are available in the conference archives. Select the Search Conference Archives button from among the main fuction buttons, and enter search criteria as above. Opening the ArchivesAt the end of a simulation, the general archives will be opened so that all participants will be able to read all the messages, not just the ones that you have read or sent.
